How might we bring conversations to life and foster focus?
I was a founding product designer at Consider. I collaborated with
another designer, the CEO and our team of engineers.
Consider was a new email client built to compete with Slack. Designed to keep you calm and
focused by bringing email to life with reactions, comments, and presence. It was email for startups;
a new way for individuals and teams to communicate and collabroate with minimum
chat interruptions so they can get back to focusing on what matters.

We brought life into email by incorporating fun, social features like comments, reactions and live presence
How might we design the inbox so that users feel less frantic,
more focused and set up to enter flow?
Feature 001 – Digest bundles
Minimize interruptions and create flow by receiving your email in three batches each day at the times you choose
Feature 002 – Digest bundles
Your inbox is your to-do list. Keep your to-dos in your inbox, without emailing yourself.
Feature 003 – Add prioritization
Choose who you want to hear from first always. Your most important contacts skip digests, ensuring you won’t miss
anything critical.
How do we create a brand that fosters a sense of calmness and joy
in a space that is innately full of notifications?
We worked with Nelson Cash, a Portland-based design studio to develop our brand identity.
We wanted to evoke the nostalgia of the classic manila envelope, stamp, and
hand-written letters into our digital product.
